MC Serch Daily Commute
Track: Daily Commute
Production: Richie Rich
Rating 4.5/5
“It’s been a long time” Thats gotta be the best way to describe the major distance between
the release of Serches last Long Player “Return Of The Product” (which is still one of my fav albums of all time”
Daily commute is taken of Serches latest album Many Young Lives Ago, which contains
many previously unreleased tracks Serch did in 94, although Daily Commute is recent effort.
Anybody who knows me I’m a sucker for female vocal samples, I love the production
which is handled by former band member Richie Rich.
Serch still sounds like Serch of old but a man of his skill is able to keep up with the wordplay of todays artists. The song talks about his struggle to become a respected rap artist, which is hard enough for anybody trying to get into the game, and double hard in an industry known for its reverse racism.
With so many of my favourate artists from the golden era retired or have plain fell off, its
great to see Serch can still step up to the plate.
